The 2009 Cactus Intertie System meeting will be hosted by Saguaro Amateur Remote Base Association, SARBA, Cholla Amateur Remote Base Association, CARBA, Jacks Peak Amateur Radio Association, JPARA, and White Tanks Mountain Remote Association, WTMRA. The meeting will be held on Saturday, March 7^th at the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites, Tucson Airport North  in Tucson, Arizona. The Holiday Inn is located at 4550 South Palo Verde Drive, about a 10 minute drive from Tucson International Airport. To make reservations call the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites, Tucson Airport North directly at (520) 746-1161. Reservations are now being taken. Make sure you request the Cactus Intertie System group name to receive the group discount rate. You cannot make the reservations from the web or the 800 telephone number and receive the group discounted room rate.

Room reservations must be made NO LATER THAN February 3, 2009 to receive the group discount rate - NO EXCEPTIONS. If you make your reservations after February 3, 2009 you will be charged the full price room rate on a space available basis.

The discounted group room rates are available for three (3) days prior and three (3) days following the meeting, 3/3 thru 3/10, 2009.

Individual room reservations must be cancelled 72 hours in advance to avoid a one (1) nights room and tax charge to the credit card on file.

There is plenty of RV parking available around the hotel. There are no hook-ups at the hotel. There are RV parks within a few blocks of the hotel. Please contact John Lanza, KC7IM, for more information.

Transportation

For those people that will be using commercial airline transportation to the meeting, you should fly into Tucson International Airport (airport code - TUS). You can rent a car at the airport or take the complementary hotel shuttle.

  Friday afternoon there will be a Cactus Intertie System Training session held at the hotel from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

For those of you who arrive on Friday, there will be the usual evening gathering starting at approximately 6:30 pm. Don't miss this fun activity. The 2009 Operations Manuals will be available to purchase and bulk orders will be available for pickup at this time.

Meeting Registration will open at 7:30 Saturday morning. The meeting will start at 8:30 and end at 5:00. You must be a member of Cactus Intertie System (i.e. be a member of a Cactus Intertie Affiliate or  Cactus Radio, Inc) to attend the meeting! There will be a lunch break from 12:00 to 1:30.
