The 2008 Cactus Intertie System meeting will be hosted by Cactus Radio, Inc. The meeting will be held on Saturday, March 1st at the Primm Valley Casino Resorts in Primm, Nevada. Primm, Nevada is 35 miles south of Las Vegas on Interstate 15 at the Nevada/California border. To make reservations call the Primm Valley Casino Resorts directly at (800) FUN-STOP (800-386-7867). Reservations are now being taken. Make sure you request the Cactus Radio Club group code SCC 0229. You cannot make the reservations from the web and receive the group discounted room rate.
Room reservations must be made NO LATER THAN February 14, 2008 to receive the group discount rate - NO EXCEPTIONS. If you make your reservations after February 14, 2008 you will be charged the full price room rate on a space available basis.

The discounted group room rates are available only for Friday and Saturday nights, 2/29 thru 3/1, 2008. Reservations can be made at any one of the three (3) hotels, however the meeting will be at the Primm Hotel. There is a continuously running shuttle between the hotels.
Individual room reservations must be cancelled 48 hours in advance to avoid a one (1) nights room and tax charge to the credit card on file.
There is plenty of RV parking available. Please make your own arrangements.
Transportation
For those people that will be using commercial airline transportation to the meeting, you should fly into Las Vegas McCarran International Airport (airport code - LAS). You can rent a car at the airport or take shuttles to Primm.
For those people who wish to fly private planes, the nearest airport is an unattended airport at Jean, Nevada, approximately 8 miles northeast of Primm. Jean is located at the intersection of Interstate Highway 15 and State Road 161, Sandy Valley Road.
Shuttles to Primm Valley Casino Resorts
From Las Vegas McCarran airport, take the shuttle to the MGM Grand Hotel. From the MGM Grand hotel, take the Primm Valley Casino Resorts shuttle (about $15.00).
There are several bus tours to Primm Valley Casino Resorts from all over California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, New Mexico, and yes even Texas. Visit the Primm Valley Casino Resorts Bus & Group web page for more details.
Friday
afternoon there will be a Cactus Intertie System Training session
held at the hotel from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
For those of you who arrive on
Friday, there will be the usual evening gathering starting at
approximately 6:30 pm. Don't miss this fun activity. The 2008 Operations
Manuals will be
available to purchase and bulk orders will be available for pickup at
this time.
Registration will open at 7:30
Saturday morning. The meeting will start at 8:30 and end at 5:00.
You must be a member of Cactus
Intertie System (i.e. be a member of a Cactus Intertie
Affiliate or Cactus Radio, Inc) to
attend the meeting! There will be a lunch
break from 12:00 to 1:30.
